Default Good Delarship (mod friendly) for warranty work?

I have an aftermarket warranty that i am about to try out, i am looking for a delarship that we might have "friends" at that won't make a big deal out of my mods, and that will also replace my window motor the first time instead of resetting the thing 3 times before replacing it.

Thanks

Definitely Don Davis Nissan in Grapevine just off 114.

James in Service is the Z club representative there.

Just let him know you belong to this forumn or any of
the Z clubs like 350Z Owner's Southwest or Z Club of Texas.

They are very mod friendly.

Let us know how it goes.

I use roundrock nissan when i am at home in TX that is prolly kind of far but if you are over that way they have never put up any kind of stink with me about any of my mods. The most they did was comment on them and ask about it for their own cars lol. Good luck

James is now at the one off of I-20 and i really don't want to drive 60 miles to have some warranty work. You know anyone else up here in north dallas that would be cool about mods and not rat you out...i know they are going to say my tilton clutch would mess up the transmission and i'm sure i will have to have it replaced soon, it grinds in reverse sometimes in the morning.

Anywho, any dealarships up here that are cool?

Call the Parts Manager at Don Davis and explain your situation and see
if he will work with you. Make sure you tell him your with the Z clubs etc..

I'm sure he will hook you up. Let me know how it turns out.

You can also try Bankston Nissan of Lewisville. They are mod friendly to a point like up to FI.

Tell Joe Florez the Service Manager you are with the Z club and that Mike Sayers referred you. I know all them guys up there very well.

Again, I would call and talk with him first and explain the situation so you
don't waste a trip.

I was at Don Davis is Grapevine yesterday talking with James. I'm pretty sure he is still there. Call up there and ask for James Mills. If he is really gone ask for Chris, he is a service manager there. He will hook you up.

No doubt they are mod friendly.

If you live out in Plano why don't you try Courtesy Nissan in Dallas, Texas? I know they are very mod friendly...They replaced my friends transmission and he had a single turbo on it...So if that doesn't show you that they are mod friendly then I don't know what does...lol....And they also sell tons of performance parts for a 350z...So they would be your best bet...

Also, are you having a problem with your window rolling back down half way? I was having that problem and on my second time taking it back for the problem they just replaced the whole window motor...So you should be taken care of very well...

Dangit, i just took it to Nissan of Mckinney yesterday, it is there right now getting the work done. The lady at the service counter wasn't very promising, long story short...even though there is a TSB on the tranny, i have a clutch and that could have caused the tranny issue...it isn't in there for that i just kinda asked about it. I'm probably never taking my car there again, hopefully they don't put some kind of note on my vin or something...is that something that they can do?

For example, she said that the aftermarket clutch would void any transmission related issues normally coverd by the warranty...is there a way for her to flag my vin so if i take it to another dealarship they kind of have their hands tied b/c she said something?

edit...Also...i am pretty sure they are going to replace the passenger side, but the drivers side is doing the roll back down after auto up and it doesn't really move a lot when you open and close the door...i tried to ask if they can just replace that motor now also but i am willing to bet that they are going to just do the reset and say it's fixed.

Yeah, I'm very against McKinney Nissan. I don't like the way they do things there, but some guys I know will say otherwise. They told me my powertrain warranty was voided out for good, because when I had my transmission replaced there last time, I didn't get a new flywheel and pressure plate for $900 like they recommended me. So, I've been looking for a different dealership to get my tranmission replaced.

Well i heard from them yesterday, they kept my car for another night b/c they have to do the dang fuel hose fix, and as i assumed the driver side motor doesn't need to be replaced, just needs to re-set done to it, so i have to pay for that...i told them to not do it and i will do it myself.

Anyone know about if they can flag a vin or put a note on it for all dealarships to see?
