yep. passenger side of the rear-view mirror works great. if you place it just right, you can't see it while driving at all and the passenger can barely see it

I put mine in plain sight. Doesn't matter to me as long as it works.

bumping this up from the dead.....

but does the black dots behind the rear view mirror interfere with the placement? like.. it being under those things doesnt affect how it scans right?

I've seen some that are high enough to be behind those dots. I would assume it works fine.

Mine are below the black dots straight down the center. Still works fine, I am however not lowered if that is even a factor.

Since i have tint on my windshield it doesn't work no matter where i put it or how slow i go. I have to hold it out the window, but i usually don't do that...they can get my plate and bill me.

I thought they are transponder type of device in the tags, using radio frequencies to translate to the computers in the lane. Unless your tint blocks out radio frequencies... I don't see how it would make a difference where you put the tag on the windshield... Black dots, tint, or not. But you are right sir, if it doesnt read, you will be bill for it. =)
