Default Anybody go to Texas Tech?

I'm considering applying to get my 4 year degree at Texas Tech. I've visited the campus numerous times and I was actually born at the campus hospital. I'm curious, does anybody here go to TT? Any red raiders fans?

I graduated in 02, so my information about the city is probably out of date. It's a good school, and I have done well in my profession.

A lot of people that i know who went out there, came back after a year b/c the were unable to get their priorities straight and they either got kicked out or realized (parents realized) that they were not going to have a good college career there.

Just watch out, keep your priorities straight, and don't be a fool...wrap your tool.

There are tons of girls that are just super hot, you will soon realize that you don't even need to turn around to look at a girl that walked by, there is a better one coming up ahead. But seriously, wrap your tool man...they are dirty out there.

Speaking of dirt...there is plenty of that, and when it rains...it rains mud...and there is no drainage system, so that water is going to be there for a while.

edit: don't bring the Z...get a beater...a beater suv/pickup. It will never be clean, and if you try to keep it clean, you will have tons and tons of swirl marks b/c of all the dirt, unless you spend a nice little chunk of cheese on good cleaning supplies.

Cool Attended Tech, current resident...

I believe I purchased either the second or third Z here in Lubbock! I have a home here and keep my Z garaged. I keep it in a covered garage even at work. Lubbock is a very nice town and growing by leaps and bounds.

Tech is a wonderful school with many activities to attend. Probably some of the best looking co-eds around. As a nurse here, and per kwiker's prior note, I would encourage 'safe' behavior at any school where one would attend. Also be sure to keep yourself focused at whatever school you go to. It is too easy to flunk out anywhere!

If you do attend Tech, drop me a note here on the forum. There is a group here contemplating a Z Club. We would enjoy meeting you. Have a great summer!

Happy Motoring,
Z_Nut

p.s. In 34 years here, I have only seen it rain real mud about 4-5 times. Living through one storm and the resulting car washes, if you are unfortunate to be caught in one, is cause to complain loud and long. Hehehe.

Graduated in 04. I loved Tech, but was ready to get out of Lubbock after 5 years. You'll have fun if you go.
