I found out about this yesterday as I got a breaking news flash from ABC13 on my blackberry about Marvin Zindler passing. He was truely a Houston institution. I will miss his classic sign off on Friday's, 'Have a good weekend, good golf, good tennis, or whatever makes you happy..." RIP Marvin Zindler.

When I was a lil kid I used to love watching his slime in the ice machine segments. I loved all the slime and the ice and you would see lil roaches run across the screen! It was fun....I remember doing imitations of him way back in Junior High...I used to be dead on...no pun intended.... ='(

LOL @ Mattress Mac next. I also remember Marvin and the SLIME in the ICE MACHINE! He had character that most TV personalities/anchors today lack.

RIP Marvin.

Yah, Marvin was entertaining, if you like that sort of thing. He did a lot of good things as well. The thing about the whorehouse was bogus, however. There was no connection with organized crime or paying off law enforcement. The mayor was mighty unhappy with Marvin since the Madam, Edna (her real name), gave the local hospital 10K every year. I just moved from Houston to La Grange in February, just so you'll know. R.I.P.
