Got A Speeding Ticket...Help
On my way to class this morning and I got pulled over on the N. bound 281 for doing 81 in a 65. I got a ticket a little less than a year ago and I also still have a California liscense. Please give me some suggestions on what actions to take. Should I get a lawyer? If so do you know any? Or should i just show up to court and plead not guilty and hope the officer does not show up. Please help...any input is greatly appreciated.
I know in California you can do a declaration by mail. You still have to post bond, but if the officer does not respond then you are off, and if you do lose, you can appeal it, and the officer again has to respond. Or you can attend court plead guilty and ask the judge for leniency and a reduced fine.

Nah i was headin' to SAC...Lotta ppl have been tellin' me to just show up to court and plead not guilty because chances are the cop won't show. Does tht mean tht the ticket gets dismissed and i don't have to pay anything at all? Or do I still have to pay?
