Default Gas mileage

So.. I've had the plenum spacer on and the Nismo intake for around 2 months now. The Invidia exhaust was installed a few weeks after the spacer and intake.

While I had the intake on with the plenum, my gas mileage was great. Roughly 24-32 mpg, depending on how heavy my foot was feeling.

Now, I'm getting 19mpg - and rarely ever pushing my car.

My question is, could the exhaust really be effecting my gas mileage? I reset the ECU when installed the plenum and intake, but not the exhaust.

The only thing that I can think of, is to reset my ECU again. Anyone else had to do this with these parts? Anyone notice any difference(s)?

I was getting 23-24, but as soon as I put on the MREV + spacer, it went down to 20-21.

more power = more gas
simple equation.

When I reset the ECU after the plenum.. my gas mileage was still 23-24.

The only change in gas mileage has been after the exhaust - 19

pssh, i would love to get 20mpg...running extremely rich with FI kills your gas mileage.

Check your tire pressure as well.

i reset mine after the plenium install....but only cuz you need to. i just assumed due to the modz and the car needing more fuel for the power....my gas mileage would go down a lil...and it did.

Do you have to reset your ecu after plenum's or exhausts ?

I was under the impression that the ecu will automatically adjust. No real need to reset. How do you reset or re-flash the ecu anyways.

BTW my mileage has always been around 19-21. I have same as you pretty much.

Wouldn't that be the 350Zh?

I've seen 27 cruising at 70 before, but I normally see 22. Lately, have been staying at home and only driving to and from work (2.7 miles). Talk about sucky mileage, 14mpg. It says i am averaging 19mph. bunch of red lights on the way to work. Guess, i need to head out to the weekly meet to get my numbers up.

Mpg is on the clock/dials on the dash. That's where my numbers are coming from. Maybe I'll try and reset the ecu again and see if anything changes.

Resetting the ECU w/ the gas pedal method takes 30 seconds...very easy...at least in the G35. Should be the same for 350Z.
