Default New Years Resolutions....... Good or Bad ?

So how many people make a New Year's resolution and don't keep it ?

My resolution is to not make any resoulutions that will not be carried out.

Let's see how many of you guys & gals make one & don't keep it. And lets try not to make the usual ones.....(ie) Lose weight, eat less, work out, stop smoking/ drinking alcohol....etc.

Any one have an unusual one ?

I always do. But I make reasonable ones. Like Nismospec, last year I wanted a better job, and I made it my #1 goal to get one - and I did. I'm a firm believer in writing your goals down and revisiting them to see what you have accomplished, and what you still need/want to do.

My ones for this year are:

Reduce more debt and stick to the budget ( I did well in 2007 with this)
Continue to work out, but each much better
Go somewhere exotic (I try to do this every year or two)
Don't try to do too much - dont make too many committments, etc.
Finish my classic truck restoration

I didn't make any this year. I stopped smoking after about 15 years, and have been smoke free for months. That's good enough.
