No I completely disagree with creationv2. Stock for stock, 350z is without a doubt a much better car. No need to drop any money into it, they are more than quick enough for the spirited driving.

Definitely a 350z over a S15. I agree with Nexx. I believe the S15 deserves credibility, but only when you drop major cash into it. Furthermore, a person must have good taste to make it look good. None of that chrome taillight crap or the fast and furious body kits.

I would go with the s15 for the fact that you do not see them and I love the look of them. The Z is a better and newer platform though.

i bet you that guy has at least 15k into that car. i gave my advice to the OP because I know who he is and what he has gone through. i honestly dont think he is ready to dump that kind of money to make a s15 a nice ride like it can be.

it's like buying a base model and spending 10 to 15k in mods to make it Nismo Z price... that S15 is below Nismo Z price, I can promise you that.. and like i said before.. you're gonna turn alot more head than your more common Z will... I saw it for myself at Spring Fling in Panama City this weekend. I was behind him the entire time and no one even bothered to look at my G and the TT'd Z roadster in front of it....

yep, i have much more then that in my Z now. you have to know when to stop at some point. i guarantee you that youll get that s15 and realize later on that its still a 10 year old car that you dropped a load of cash into. only way i would consider getting a s15 would be a for my second or third car as a pet project, not my daily driver. here is a better idea, how about you get a track model Z, go very lite on the mods and buy daily s14 or s13 to mod. you can pick one up for much less than $5k. make more sense to me.

S15 for sure, when the Z parts are cheap as dirt in 10 years, than get one of them and mod it too.

The s15 is a nice looking ride as shown above, but if you have to drop 15k into your car to get it to be a bad *** then I say get the Z. You dont have to drop mad money into a Zfor it to be a bad *** car. Just my opinion.

You want to track a car the s15 is not the best. The z will own a s15 turn for turn. Stick with the Z the s15 will only make you wish you had bought another z. Sure you can make a crazy show car or drift king but not a SCCA champ.
Also the 300 hp turbo s14 vrs 300 hp N/A vq35 at the track is a huge difference. The s15 will have hela turbo lag to make 300 hp and build psi to quick for propper corner exit. Sure the back straight will be nice but we all know the corner is were you win.

track models are over rater, that being said Im getting an enthusiast with the brakes off a track haha. I need to get my gears and nismo lsd to replace the vlsd thats in there. Im waiting on a call back from a friend about the s15, I really dont want a usdm 240, I want a 2000-2002 s15. I really want an r34 v spec but thats not gonna happen. I really need to buy a daily driver as it is with the way im building the z. It really comes down to what my insurance says about insuraning a car from japan for the japanese market.
