Default Our Track Your Car

Does anyone know of a track in the Houston area like the Texas Motor Speedway near Dallas that lets you drive your car on their course?
http://www.texasdrivingexperience.co...rograms&s=OTYC

I know of the MSR Houston Road Course near RoSharon but their prices are crazy!

Thanks in advance for your help.

There is one in College Station called Texas World Speedway. They hold events there quite often.

Can you only drive when there is a scheduled event? And how are the prices?

From what I know you can only use the course if you're a member or during an event. Unless you're invited by a memeber....

To run a weekend with the TWS Club is 20$ less than The Drivers Edge, or 275$ a weekend. Every other club in the area usually runs for just under 300$ for an entire weekend.

See attached for TWS Club and dates.

I'd have a link for you with a whole load of other events/event sponsors/tracks in the area but seems g35driver.com is down at the moment.

You won't get much better prices then the TWS folks unless you go for a one day only event. Those will typically cost you just under 200$. APEX and the TWS Club from above are the only two groups in the area that do it. The TWS club doesn't advertise it but if you call them up they usually can get you in for one day for about 175$ (Saturday or Sunday, your choice!)..

The next closest thing may be doing Time Trials with the Porsche Club of America http://mav.pca.org/Events/AX.asp . I've never been so I don't know full details or price but I'd assume its under 50$ a day. And from talking to a few people they set up a parking lot (@ Mineral Wells, TX) with cones to make a small road coarse (or large autocross coarse). Then let you do a few sessions with other cars on the track.

Now if your just asking to drive on a track without a club good luck finding such a thing unless you are a member or have a recognized racing license. Even so expect to pay big $$$ to drive a few laps.

I will be going to TWS the weekend of May 17-18 with the Z Club of Houston. They have a scheduled event, you dont have to be a member and you get a small discount for signing up with the club I think. Like its been mentioned, you can do one day event or the two days.
If anyone wants more info just PM me, i can look everything up and let you know.
