David McDavid I-45 South- worst sales team and customer service I have ever seen. No call backs, berating sales team, dirty/filthy service area.
Baker Jackson Nissan 610 Loop- Will not respond to emails, not willing to even negotiate over email, will only talk price if I come in.
Clear Lake Nissan- I though I had found a great sales lady via the internet sales, we found a pretty much agreeable price, then she caught the flu and was out a week and they sold the Z I wanted and claim to have found no others in Texas, which I found out was a lie. Once she returned I couldn't even pay them to return my calls or emails, then after numerous calls I received an email saying the price she had given me was null and void. This was AFTER I told them I was ready to purchase as I have financing complete with my credit unoin.
Mossy Nissan- I-10 West in Katy- I called last night, spoke with a cool cat who bent over backwards after they were closed looking for the Z I want (Silver, Charcoal interior, Touring 6MT, Nav, kick plates, aero package) and he found one in Austin. We've pretty much come to an agreeable walk out price of $34,300 with TTL included, only if they pay of my trade in which is a '05 Touring 6MT, perfect condition, dealer maintained, less than 200 miles on new tires and only 28,000 miles. I owe $19,900, and am only looking for a payoff.
We will see. Has anyone here in the Houston area had an actual enjoyable experience dealing with Nissan at all? I couldn't imagine trying to negotiate for the new '09 with these dealerships. If this one doesn't work out I'll be going to a G35 or BMW. The only enjoyable sales experience my parents ever had was with Infiniti, and they still rave about it.

I came very close to beating the salesperson's @ss over at the Nissan dealer on I-45 South near League City. He got me very upset because he wasted hours of my time.
Stay away from them!

Baker Jackson off 290 is good at sales, but they're repair shop is pretty shitty. The guy that was talking to me about my radiator couldn't even explain stuff, and I pretty much made him look like a dumbass.
Champion in Katy doesn't have the best service either. I'm not sure about the sales. I went to get my oil changed over there and told them i had a slow leak in my back tire. The guy just aired up my tire and didn't even put the valve stem cap back on.

Every Nissan dealer Ive taken my Titan too has just botched any warrenty work what so ever.
The best one was when I took it in b/c the driver side door latch had come loose and the door would literally move around while driving even though it was shut all the way and locked. I even had the Service manager ride in it and they said it was normal wind noise and I shouldn't worry about it.

So far the sales guy at Mossy Nissan has been my best experience. We've agreed on a price of $34,500 walk out including TTL, and this is for a Silver w/charcoal leather interior, 6MT Touring which seem very hard to find. Package includes aero package, Navigation, skid plates, floor mats, back mat, XM, etc. It will be driven down from Austin and he seems VERY interested in my trade in and eager to make a sell and get my payoff. I'll find out everything on Friday morning when I will have my car appraised.
They're even offering me a loaner Z for the weekend as they'll have to install the aero package at the dealership. This is something David McDavid would never do, as they always made me get a rental when I had warranty work done.
I was gonna wait for the '09, but I still love this body style with a passion, just HATE the PPW color, as it can never stay clean. I'm going with a four year plan and plan to trade it in or sell it in two years paying over payments if the new Z fits my needs.
I still can't advise anyone enough how much I loathe David McDavid Nissan on I-45 South. Complete douche bags.
BTW- If this one doesn't go through, I'll be looking at the BMW 1 series, turbo, of course. The car looks sick in person, but I really wanna stick with the Z. Love this car with a passion.

I am a former employee of Baker Jackson Nissan South (610).
Go in and talk to Benson Peters or Alfred. (Make sure you are working with Brad as a sales manager!)
Best of luck!

ya David McDavid was pretty clueless when I was looking for a quote. The lady i talked to over the phone had no idea about the model differences/prices and said these don't sell for under MSRP.
The lady I talked to in Clearlake Nissan was friendlier but equally clueless when it came to the Z and pricing them.
Kirk from Mossy Nissan is a good guy, someone on this forum recommended him to me and hes pretty straightfoward, except he wouldn't lower his offer price
. When I went in for a scheduled test drive with him, though, I got handed over to another guy called Yoshi. That guy might've been new there, but he lied about some stuff on the car so I'd recommend avoiding him.
RJ down at gulf coast nissan i only talked to once on the phone, but right away he quoted me a reasonable price and didn't ******** me at all. I'd definitelly go to him if he wasn't so far away.
Bill Jaynes at Sterling McCall was recommended to me by someone else on this site as well. stand up guy too, I'm actually going in this weekend to order my Z from him.
You never know which sales guy you're gonna end up getting though. If i went into Mossy and met Yoshi at first I would've never had talked to them again. Usually those internet sales managers are more straight up than the ones trying to get ups in front (just my experience). Is your sales guy's name Kirk primex?

Wangsta, my sales guy's name is Steve, and he's been keeping in touch and even recommended that I go by Carmax to get an appraisal before coming in so we have ammunition in case their appraiser tries to undercut me. My car is immaculate with low miles, but it all depends on sales in the area, auction sales, etc. I received my appraisal from Carmax this evening and am pretty pleased.
Steve seems like a very straightforward guy and hasn't acted like the typical sale person over the phone. I've never had a sales guy give me tips on how to get over before, so that was nice.
Hopefully all will go well in the morning, the deal will get done and I'll drive home my loaner Z, then pick up my newbie next week when the aero package is added on. I really wanted to wait for the '09 but I do not trust first year models, and I'm still SERIOUSLY in love with this body style. Wish me luck! I totally want to stay in the Z family!
I was looking at the BMW 1 series turbo and kind of drooled a little, but it went away when I got back in my Z. Love it to death.

I bought my Z from Kirk Verett at Mossy. He answered my questions and responded to all my e-mails. I would recommend Kirk and Mossy Nissan. A guy named Ray took me on my test drive. Ray can answer any questions you may have about the car.
I wouldn't worry about the salesman. You are in control of that process and its a one time deal. Its the people in the service department that are working on your vehicle for the rest of time you own it that you have to watch out for.
I only and always take my car to mossy nissan on i10. I always deal with Bob Harris real stand up guy for servicing my nissan. They are number 1 in customer care. The last time I was there which was a couple weeks ago. My car was done 5 minutes after there requested time for an oil change and they gave it to me for free.

I live out in Katy and they're really cool people. Even if you aren't looking to buy, they're pretty good about helping you out without being too pushy. I take my car there for service all the time, never had a problem.
To the OP: I had similar problems when I was trying to get responses online. Either a.) They would say "Oh we've got a good deal, come on in and we can get you a price. or b.) No response at all. Even after saying that I wouldn't come in until they gave me a starting price, they would still ask for me to come in anyway or just stop responding at the point.
