poss. buying base Z DFW
i live in the DFW area which is the best nissan dealer to go to. what have yall paid for for your cars, especially the base owners. any problems i should know about. i know of the feathering and paint problems, which alone makes me not want this car. any comments would be appreciated. thanks
I took my car in for a bunch of TSBs at Grubbs Nissan in HEB area. They did a great job...fixed everything in a day and a half. It's worth the risk, imo...this is a great car. Do you have to buy new? There are a number of slightly used Zs to be found now. IMO Grubbs are idiots in the sales department, Courtesy in Dallas seems to have a great reputation.
i went with the masses and went to courtesy nissan with checkbook in hand.... walked out with a bad taste in my mouth.. ...i think the sales department there has everyone fooled because they walk around smiling and laughing and telling you "sure we can do that"... lol man i got a much better price at north texas nissan.. and no ******** either...

So does splitting the difference between MSRP and invoice sound right? I know someone who got a 350 for 2k under MSRP a while back. Not sure what is a good deal now. I am probably going to pick up an enthusiest. I was thinking maybe 1200 over invoice + dest charge.

Yeah I don't know what happened with you gooters. Most people are dealing pretty heavily on the Z now and I was able to help several people out in the early days of MSRP++. Sorry bud. But hey, if you can't find a deal it is worth a call. No effort, right?
I got my Enth at North Texas Nissan in Denton back in April for $1250 off MSRP. April! With the economy still in the crapper, you should be able to beat my deal. Best strategy is NOT to drive around to different dealerships. Use their Internet sales dept. to find the best price, and then put the dealers against each other. Good luck!
