Haha Chris, you're not a bad driver at all. I remember riding with you way back when.

[QUOTE=3hree5ive0ero;9312189]^ Sounds like a motivation to not f*ck up then. If you don't take these small risks, you won't get any installs done yourself. BTW, you really can't mess up on them, don't be such a woman. jk

I'm probably more WOMAN than you could handle...... If you want to MAN up come on over and do it for me, except we would have to tie one hand behind your back....... that would make it fair..... SINCE MY LEFT HAND IS A PAPER WEIGHT and not working. Its all good.

Oh, and small risk ? Guess you have never seen it happen, I have....... its a horrible thing, and GREAT risk.

That's what I'm saying. Do it right and you won't have any issues. And I thought your son was doing it, not you.

I dunno, but I put my rear springs in with the OEM jack and some simple hand tools. Fronts are the harder part.

Jody,

Your son does not need to be dealing with the spring compression since you're removing the coils that are on the car now and putting the stock ones back on..the only time you need to deal with spring compression is when you are changing the stock springs that are already on the stock shocks...

Quang is right. If the stock springs are still housing the struts, then it's super simple. No spring compression involved. Just unbolting a few mounts and that's it.

Of course it's easy for us to say this since we've done it, but it really is that easy. If this is not the case, and spring compression is needed, then surely one of us can help. My schedule doesn't allow much time (especially to help on opposite sides of the metroplex), but someone in DFW can do it.

Heck Yeah !!

Stu, you definitely are the man for detailing.

My Z looks freaking amazing, that black paint is so deep and rich....I haven't seen it this good for several years. Tires and wheels are pretty also. I'll let you know about the sealer on the tires and how long it lasts.

**I definitely recommend Stu to do your car if your interested in getting it cleaned & polished. He does an amazing job with very reasonable prices.**

Better hurry before he heads out to CA for school.

Thank you again....Great job Stu !

No problem, I would have gladly done it for free, as seeing your Z look that great is well worth it.

Here's some info from the company website on the tire product. Sounds like it should do well:

Beyond great looks, Opti-Bond Tire Gel provides durable protection to rubber and vinyl. Advanced UV and ozone protectants shield tires and trim from sun damage and environmental pollution. Rubber and vinyl surfaces stay supple, flexible, and retain their color with regular use of Opti-Bond Tire Gel. The tire gel creates a shiny, but never greasy, finish on all rubber and vinyl surfaces. The finish is water-based, so it will not attract dust.
All I know is I bought a gallon of the stuff so it better be awesome!

It was iPhone pics. Sometimes they come out great, other times not. Actually I did a Mazda 3 a few days ago, all iPhone pics and they came out perfect. Sometimes I have trouble holding the camera still while hitting the button.

It's just so much easier to do this and then upload straight to photobucket, rather than use my DSLR and have to upload to my computer then to PB.

Sup guys...how goes it......

Chris, your car looks great man!

Believe it or not, i actually just recently paid to have my car professionally washed as well.........My wife bought me a groupon dot com car wash special and they detailed the heck out of my car. I haven't seen it so clean since it was new!

Poor car sits in 10x25' storage in SA....boo...
