So basically Steve Kan is using the Osiris tool to tune? Can he do the 5 presets like UpRev that are saved into the computer and accessed through the cruise control buttons?
Oh ya, don't you have to have the Osiris licensed to your vehicle or something like that? My Z has an UpRev tune in it from the previous owner (1 performance tune, 1 valet mode, and 3 unused slots).

As far as I know, I don't see why not. I was planning on 5 tunes. I need at least two since I'm in TX and CA.

Ok now I remember you posting about that a couple days ago. I don't know that I need a new tune, but have always been curious about what's in the car now.

Hopefully that will help it out....I'll go to Jake's tonight just to have him hear it. I just want to be sure it's not causing any damage before I drive it too much.

Chris... so basically if I have current UpRev tunes now I can buy the Cipher and get access into the programming? I've owned the car for three years now and I've never bothered to contact UpRev about any of it. Fail on my part.

Eric, I might have been mistaken about the cost but here is what was put down. Your car already has it so I'm not sure what you'd have to do to get that cable ? It's worth checking into tho !
.....this is a quote from the original post;
"Steve is opening a new shop in Lewisville in June (open now), and I wanted to break in this shop with a massive group tune of G35s (and 350zs). He normally charges $450 NA / $550 FI for tunes, but has agreed to a tune us for $300 Each! (FI may be more)
now, he can tune just about anything but this was going to be oriented around using Uprev Osiris. I've been in contact with uprev to see what we could do about getting everyone a license for tuning. For this to go through we are basically going to be buying Steves Uprev shop tuning license. For everyone without a uprev license already, you will only have to pay $300 for him to have the ability to tune on your car with this software. So the total is only $600 for tune and license, You will NOT find a cheaper deal on this anywhere, especially for a tuner of this caliber. If you want to have your own cable so you can do datalogging and clearing codes you will need osiris standard which includes the license and the cable and is $500. "

Ok, so the diff is making a pitchy whinney noise....I'm assured it isn't damaging from Jake....so I will drain the Diff fluid out and put some Motul 75W/90 Synthetic Diff fluid in.
I already creampied my diff once....now I get to do it again !
We'll see what happens from there ???
I'm just glad it isn't causing damage to anything else...I can still get my tune and be good for an Auto X. Baby steps...maight have to change out the bearings eventually.

Time for 305's, with the HFC's now I am apparently making more power, and enough to spin the 295's pretty easily. I bet the new diff fluid helps a little too. Hehe mostly kidding, but I do miss when I had just under enough power to spin the tires.
