i went to a valvoline, but i think the mistake i made is i went right after work while in slacks and dress shirt so wasnt about to roll windows down... not to mention i bought the car with that tint on it from a dealership and it had just had new inspection. so i had no idea they were too dark, i am going to try to get it done this weekend somewhere

When you fail don't you normally have to pay them? And they give you a certain amount of days to get it fixed so you don't have to pay again? Anyways just leave your windows roll down and when they go to your car and drive it in they won't roll it up.
he went and got the meter right away, never made it in the bay so i wasnt charged at all
Just roll them down before pulling up to the shop. Tell them it's a track only car and has issues with window motors and you would greatly appreciate if they didn't attempt to operate them.
I heard those are really fun to install. Like Eric said Trav, go else-where and just roll down the windows when you get there so when they go pull it in the bay they won't even roll them up.
Anyways I've decided I'm gonna go ahead and go with the G37S. The 335i is uber-rare to find in manual and all the extra options that's standard on the G makes it cost plenty more. Now I'm having a tough time finding one I like.

going to hit a place saturday, going to pull fuse also. with the inspections can it be anywhere or the county where you live?
what color are you going to go with on the G?

It has to be your county. Each county can have different inspection criteria. My buddy lives in Hood county and they don't have emissions regulations so his inspection is about 1/3 of what mine costs.
they really are nice looking, and i still go back and forth on if i want them... but my engine is wider that the de so i have less room under the hood, and of course there is a big cost difference
