On another note...I went up to North Star Dragstrip last night and ran the 1/8th mile up there with the Rice Killers event going on and some truck from Thailand that is supposed to be awesome....well it ran a 5.5 for it's very first run of the night....but then it cracked the Engine block because the Diesel fuel is different out here from Thailand ! Opps

I ran a best time of 9.120.....I know I could have gotten a 8.9 or better, but the lines were getting longer....so I decided to park and watch some of the faster muscle cars run.

Not sure on to figure out what a 1/4 mile time would be ???

I literally said out loud, "where are you going?" when you went past staging.

With a 9.12 @ 78.96 in the 1/8 mile, you're looking at ~14 @ ~100 in the 1/4 mile. I'd say that's about right since I didn't hear you launch your car. What was your 60'? Post up your time slip!

Nice pictures! I wasn't able to meet everyone, though, so sorry if I didn't introduce myself to you. We'll definitely need to have more meets like we did today.

 

I'm glad I stopped by to see everybody at the meet. It was cool to see new faces and talk with some of you.
I also got to see some of my old friends Like Jake, Ilya, Q, & Stu ! Lol....didn't mean to rhyme.

Since I came late and nobody got to see my Z....I will post a pic....so if you see me driving then give me a shout out ! But I rarely drive it around during the week anymore...in any case I hope to see you guys at another meet soon enough.
And maybe some of you guys can start coming out to a few events to run your Z and see how she can handle.

I went to the SCCA Solo event at TMS Sunday 9/29 for the first time. This was my best run(my last one out of 5). I got 12th overall in the Novice C-stock group. My time was 49.9 my first run was 53.4 seconds

Sorry you didnt see any other Z's out there. We generally have a few and as many as 8 or 9.

Hope you had a good time, there are a lot of events to go this year. This calendar has all the events from all of the clubs in DFW listed. All the clubs welcome all cars so you can run with any of them.http://www.dfwautocross.com/

Join up and just post any events you are planning on going to. We generally will have a few Zs at most events.

The Porsche, BMW, Equipe Rapid and North tx autocross series(NTAXS) all do 8 run's so they are a little different then the SCCA style.

There was a 370 out there, but I was the only 350. I'm definatly interested in doing more of these. I had a blast!
