I'm **** about little things like that. Even if other people don't really notice without them being pointed out... if I know they are there I am OCD.
well the dings were a negotiation point with me when i bought it, finally just tired of looking at them

okay, let me pick everyones brain....we all know that the HR clutches are crap, i was talking to jake last night and he said that the 06 use the cd009 trans, the same one that i have. would it be possible to retrofit my transmission with the pivot ball, clutch fork and external slave? if it is the same transmission and they just changed the slave, in theory it should be possible..... right?

To explain a little better.. Travis drove the Z that I just did a clutch job and he loved it. the clutch lines from the master routed through the car are the same except instead of having a short clutch line like the DE's Travis has the hard lines that continue into the transmission. I was thinking why not see if the pivot ball and fork will fit in his tranny and he would not have to deal with that horrible CSC crap that he has in there now. I see Z1 sell CD009s with pivot fork setup.
I know that link is from a 370...but it also has the CSC setup that travis does.. Im still researching..I think it will work but I need BOTH transmissions in my hand to see..

** let me add there is nothing wrong with my clutch, but i am wanting to replace it and the flywheel one day, and with my slave being internal (per z speed) the fine clutch dust is getting in the slave and the fluid causing it be get nasty dirty quick.
So the 35HR, 37HR are the same? I know on the g37 lots of guys have problems with the oem csc. Many replace it with the zspeed hd csc.
i already have the zspeed but my fluid is nasty and it hasnt even been a year

i am out of the range and already replaced the slave twice, i have the heavy duty one, just really liked how the de setup was.... really simple
Are you still on oem clutch/fw setup? What if you change to some aftermarket ones? What don't you like about your current setup, and what did you like about the de setup? The feel? Engagement point?

Engagement point is really low. Like an inch off the floor vs his (like 3 inch). Also the JWT clutch is super stiff from the point of pressing on the pedal all the way until you completely let off. His is sloppy, pedal doesnt even come up all the way and there even a little play at the VERY top. Also he didnt mention that the fluid was dirty in just a few months and Travis hardly drives his car. Anyone else that races or drifts - their fluid is clean and still honey lookin. Travis's gets dark (even if he is using good fluid)... I dont know but its just weird to me that it does that and those DE's that race hard and clutch kick and beat the fk out of their clutch doesnt do that..
