The tires, maybe. I usually don't have an extra $900 lying around for tires. Especially not when I wasn't expecting to have to replace them when I just bought new ones 14 months ago. Or maybe it's because this is the longest I've ever kept a used car, so I've never had to deal with having to replace worn parts to this exent. I made it through the first 13 months without having to do anything but oil changes. So this last year has been quite different. That's really what I was trying to say I guess.
BTW, where do you guys (or gals) get your tires and where do you get them mounted?

If anyone would offer me a cash deal to get these right away I would let them go. I got an offer for quite a bit less than what I was asking and accepted, the guy never replied.

Good morning all!
Brad...Im still wondering why you take the car to dealership....I think thats why your pockets hurt and you are gettin flack from the woman.. They are always going to seriuously overcharge. Just wait til that extended warranty is out. Some people purposely get another car after 2 yrs so they dont have to "mess with it"...not me, believe it or not this is my dream car.. It will eventually be my weekend warrior and i also plan to get another daily. As far as maintenance goes...If I dont have the tools to do the job - I go buy them. and tires....pfffft...if you go through them as much as I do...get them used...I doubt I will every buy new tires again.. So far Ive gotten michelins, BFG's, saw some falkens... Im just saying "theres ways" to not get screwed..

I only go to the dealership for the oil changes (with coupon) and the 100 point inspection report they provide (that color printout I showed you). Ok, and the free car wash too. I know they are waaaaay overpriced on services, that's why I'm trying to learn how to do things myself. I plan on keeping this car way past the ext warranty, so the more I learn the more $$ I'll save. And I didn't get the wipers done there. Just mentioning their quote b/c I thought it was just as ridiculous and the quote for the brake work and nitrogen in the tires.

I feel ya man.. I just dont like how (any) stealerships take advantage if they can. thats good...get your report, you know whats wrong , go somewhere to get'r done.. or if its simple enough, DIY...

yeah, i plan on having a full blown tech day, but once im all settled in the house and garage is up and running.........i just barely hooked up my aircompressor yesterday........still have to run electrical out to it........
this weekend is just minor stuff i gotta do...

I need to use a floor jack for about 30 minutes to adjust my rear suspension. I am pretty sure the one that I have is about dead and I hate using the scissor jack.
