You can also look here to see the difference in the blocks.

From left to right: HR, VHR, and the little DE.

Well, I called Discount and since I would be providing my own tires, they stick me with a $6 dismount/remount fee per tire for a total of $118 to mount my new tires. Their 'out the door price' on the internet does not show the extra fees if you don't buy tires from them. So, I guess stealership wins the job for $87 + additional $20 to dispose of old tires. So, anyone want my old tires to tear up? I can post pics later if anyone is interested. They are Bridgestones, 225/45/18 and 245/45/18.

if you buy a DE, you can modify the crash bar with the greddy kit to fit. i say get a cheap 04 or 05 and save the rest for twins. you can get a used greddy off the forums for half the price of a new HR kit. you could probably get the 04 or 05 + a kit for the same price you are gonna pay for a HR.

true true, you could part out the stuff you dont want from that, like the supercharger, audio stuffs, brakes since you have free brembos and use that money for the TT's. then your working with a GTM built block what ever else you want. that thing has cams too. wtf.. that a nutty *** deal. im trying to convince myself not to buy that car, lol.

over 10k, first time it was over 15k... just give you an idea. thats not including 7k for the first motor and TT kit. so yeah.. 20k for that 03 car is fkn stupid. and i dont even have cams yet. when you start talking about built motors, the costs are a whole different ball game.

True, my whole thought was :
Get the 07, get wheels/tires and then save for meth injection + GTM turbo kit, I should be able to press it to 10 or 11 PSI with the meth and make over 500

get the HR now. wait to see how many people have success at 500whp for a period of a year with the HR on a stock block. we really dont know yet because there isnt enough of a sampling and not enough time has lapsed since HR's have been boosted. we will know more by 2010.
