I have Allstate and am very pleased with them. They surprised me a couple years back when I lost a fight with a curb they paid to replace my aftermarket front bumper, I figured they would only cover the cost of a stock one.

Q, I would get quotes from Geico & Progressive....I used to have them & liked them too. But you always got to check around for good prices.
Also check out 20th or 21st century insurance.
No loyalty to any Insurance company, as they are not loyal to you.

Werd!
Ya its like this --- I'm always willing to help and lend a hand......no one's time is free...so we beat the shops prices and make it worth our while......hell, my wife would kill me if i did work on other peoples cars for Free
However, i absolutely refuse for anyone to drop off their car.......if you want a clutch install, diff install, plenum spacer, brakes/rotors replaced or bleed, window motor replaced/fixed, whatever, whatever.......
!!!Your azz is gonna be there watching and learning, handing over tools, etc...........so you can tackle those things next time around on your own and have a sense of pride you learned something and helped out.........
you wanna drop off your car and leave, take it to a shop - Were not a shop...Were DIY'ers!

All kidding aside, that's what I love about this forum..is there is someone out there that is ALWAYS willing to help you / teach you / give you a hand so you won't have to pay the 75$-100$ an hour shop rate that would kill your pockets.. You also learn how to do your own maintenance and be a self-mechanic in case anything breaks down and what not..feels better/rewarding as well.
