[QUOTE=3hree5ive0ero;8149389]I don't think you can get just the front springs. They usually come in a set of 4, for all corners. Plus, it'd be kind of dumb to have aftermarket springs in the front (cheap way of lowering) and have cut spring mounts in the rear (even cheaper way of lowering).

If you were to buy the spring mounts from a dealership, it'd be expensive. But with so many Zs around these days, I'm sure you'd find a used one for cheap.

The dealership cannot void your warranty for aftermarket parts unless they can prove to you that the aftermarket part was the source of whatever problem you went to the dealership about.

Ok, so (please, no flames) I was under the impression that I cannot lower my rear with just spings. Only the front ?????? I want to keep stock susp, but lower it about 3/4 to 1 inch front and back.. I have the 06 GT and want to keep the slight forward stance.

The only thing you can do is the rears...I doubt you will go through with it cause I know how much you like the stance.. Just keep the car stock....and lets see how long that lasts...the bug will get you..Also chris is right - stealership cant void shiet w/out proof that the change was the cause of your problem.

so, having a couple of strange issues with el z, the parking brake light went off on the gauge cluster but it will flash super faintly when I engage the brake. also, there's a rattling type noise that goes away when I engage the clutch, but it only does it at idle? when one thing goes wrong, they all do.

Thanks, Jake. I didn't get **** this year. I spent all my money on applying to graduate schools, trips to interviews, etc.

I haven't really cared about my bday since my 18th, I think, so no biggie.

Quote fail.

The only thing you can do to lower the Z on stock-everything suspension would be the cut the spring mount as Jake did. The fronts cannot be modified. If you want to lower the proper way, then you'd have to get springs for all 4. Or, if you want to do it right, then you should get the coilovers.

For most, however, simple lowering springs will do.

BTW, by "slight forward stance," are you talking about the "rake?"

Noob.

The most common reason for the brake light is low brake fluid. Check that first.

As for the rattling sound, that's the flywheel chatter, which is most audible in neutral with your left foot off the clutch. The flywheel chatter is perfectly normal and expected in 350Zs. This chatter only gets louder with aftermarket (usually due to lighter weight) flywheels.

JLS2GOZ,

If you want a mild drop without spendng much just get some drop springs. Ve got the Eibach Pro Kit that gives a 1" drop all around and it keeps a slightly "raked" stance.

+1 Eric......Also the Tein H springs that I put on would be a subtle drop.

I know it would look good with some blue rays lugs.. lol i have to save up for those though.. them bitches expennnsivee.. lol And for the rivets, xxr is going to come out with colored replacement ones. They have gold, blue, white, and i think black... so when those come out, ill probably buy a few colors to play with. As for the front tires.. they are preeettyy stretched.. i shouldnt have gotten that tire size but i was worried about it rubbing if i went any bigger. The next set i get will have AT least a 275 up front.

Thanks, guys.

Kristi, you know you're only a year older than me. When you getting your new car?

bluz370, I wouldn't get colored rivets. It looks a bit busy with the rivets and the branched spokes, so having colors would attract unnecessary attention away from the design of the wheels. I say just get blue lugs like Jason said and black out the rivets.

Smile Got my 350z parking sign!

I have been slowly trying to get the garage finished......im going for the "Racer Theme" with the black and white checkerboard floor and painted walls......

I added two signs a while back and hadnt finished getting some of the rest i wanted......

well i got my 350z sign and my Xterra parking only sign in and mounted them up...

The gap was left there intentionally as the next sign im getting is a "Texas State Parking only" since i have the A&M one at the end, my wife wanted her school also. That sign is only sold in San Marcos, so im getting it the next time we travel to San Antonio.

Check it out:
