oh we had a few chuckle moments last night's install. things were said that sounded bad but werent meant to be.
"Jacob, bang on it from behind"
"I feel it, its going in. yeah I feel it too"
"Lets lube it up real good and just bang it in there."
I know there were a few more but I forget, lol.

No real good pro drifter has a set up like that....news flash none of them do...
I know, lets see the inside two inches of his tires after a few laps and talk to me about form > function... i wonder how long his tires lasted...???
Don't get me wrong, im glad hes getting out there and drifting, but if he wants to be serious over looking cool, then he would "set up" his car accurately to do well and become better...
LOL......

First it was called a show queen, but really it's a daily driven vehicle..than it goes out and drift and still it gets hated on because it's running low aggressive offset which they don't like. Can't please everyone.. it'd be boring if everybody was into the same thing.

Stanced isn't permitted in this thread, it will get hated on by everyone other than me who likes it.

Does it matter what most people do to there own vehicle? They bought it for there own enjoyment, not to prove to anyone out there what they do with it, being it's a sports car or not.
Not even 1% of the people who even owns this car drift/drag/autox/hpde whatever other track options there are, let alone the stretch and camber people.. so why pick on them other then being the fact you don't really like these kind of setup because it's a either you love it or you hate it type of thing.
No body said it was necessary to have aggressive offset to drift properly..

People do whatever it takes to make themselves feel better..not others. Everyone has there own different lifestyle. I don't know how to explain it, it's that nice feeling of enjoyment when you do something. For some it might be tracking the vehicle, maybe having a clean vehicle (me), having an aggressive offset / slammed vehicle..doesn't matter to me.
You might get that nice feeling when you hit boost..for me when I clean my car it makes me feel good, I don't know why, not that I really enjoy detailing/cleaning vehicles that much, but the aftermath to me is a nice feeling, having a nice clean car.

Going out to one drift event with that set up doesn't mean its anything that article states...... the end of the article even has a complete warm fuzzy paragraph ending, hope'n for forgiveness.......
I agree with you Q, do what makes ya happy sure, but if you don't have your car set up correctly and trying to say you do, or say is functional and acceptable in an article is another thing......
I dont go around saying my car is the cleanest.........hell i know its not, and peeps can make fun of it and thats fine.......you dont see me putting my car in a magazine article trying to say its a show car AND a drift car do you...
It's ignorant and naive really....its like those guys cant accept that its not set up right.........

Ah I see where you're getting at. Maybe they want publicity, attention, approval, I have no idea.
At least the argument in here is more friendly. Of course it is it's my thread bishes, all has to agree with me or bannage for all of you!
I just get tired of a lot of the same subjects that get debated on, always the same subjects. Guess when you're behind a monitor you can be macho man.

I gotta also say, i have seen that car in person, and I like it...its got some sweet mods and was done so with owner pride..........that I respect........
but if he really wants to get real/(improve) about drifting, he knows hes handicapping himself with his set up.....he can gain WAY more performance with correct wheels, height, alignment settings, etc..etc..etc......
sure, give me a slammed Ford Festiva with -2134 offset and lets write an article about it being a drift car......seriously....
