Are we ever going to UpRev? I don't know if there are any good NorCal tuners, or if I want to get tuned there.

You should've hit me up a few months ago. I made the drive down there to get reflashed.

I would've gone with you, Stu.. maybe. Chicago has Sound Performance, though, so I think I'm covered if I ever want a tune.

I know other Chris is interested. There were more people at one point, but I don't know where they've gone. I've got my wheels lined up finally I hope, and coilovers are always available. Now just the tune to top it off and it will be a nice summer.

I'm shocked, people act like $16500 is too much for an 07 350z with 42k miles.

Its not, but everyone has got it in their heads that its a buyers market on cars and the economy, so you have to hold out.........

What trim level/options on it? I picked up mine for 13k off the lot, but it was an '06 with 39k.

It is most definitely a buyers market if you are at a dealership, but not so much on the private sale side of things.

And speaking of RevUp, would it be worth it to go down there and have them flash the car as opposed to just buying it off the website? I guess after reading it, I'm not quite sure how exactly their set up works. I mean, do they email me the map and I just load it from my computer, or when I buy it through their website do they just send me the cable and the license and I still have to go somewhere to get it flashed?

I think you mean UpRev.

If you go down there, they can do a "customized tune" with your car there for immediate testing and troubleshooting (if necessary). If you purchase online, you send them a log of what your car is running as-is, and they make a tune off what they see (what you sent) and send you back a tune to upload onto your car.

As far as going somewhere else and tuning, that is still possible. You just need to buy the license, the cable, etc (all things necessary for tuning) and a qualified/authorized tuner.

Chris - you beat me to it..

I do my tunes via email...I need to go down there with Stu and Fitha to get a real tune with the dyno action.. Its just that it costs as much as the damn cipher, cable and software to get it... Last one I heard was HR motor doing 294whp...

I actually bought the Osiris standard on the website, and took it to Uprev to get tuned. There aren't any licensed Uprev tuners in Dallas so it is best to just go to Uprev in Austin. You can have them email you a map, but in all honesty you are better off making the drive down there because they actually tune the car on the dyno.

Don't get caught up on dyno numbers. Those "whp" numbers don't mean jack until you can prove it.

Going to a 2006 Z isn't an upgrade for the most part. Getting 07+ Z would be an upgrade, though.

Here is my dyno graph. Before 248rwhp and 227ft.lbs After 255rwhp and 239ft.lbs

The gains don't compare to how much better the car is to drive. It is way more responsive. Ask Gibbs lol we had a friendly run before and after the tune. Before he had me by a car and a half but we were side by side after the tune.
