Anyone who is going out to Hooter's tonight and is out on the west side or Fort Worth or whatever, some of us are going to meet up at 700 on the west garage and cruise out together. Y'all are welcome to join.

ColecatZ, if I still lived in Dallas, I would so do this with you. I've been saying I wanted to drop in a LS for years... just no cash. As for who can do them, I have no idea. Frankly, I'm not sure I trust any of the shops around here with such a task.

SPL Solid compression rod bushing install - OEM bushing hell!
Well, I had hell removing the drivers side OEM compression rod bushing tonight!
Dammn thing was so rusted and stuck with corrosion that I had to hack at it for hours with a saw-saw, and hammer and chisel.....
Finally i got the bastardo out:
You can see the dark red/maroon rust all over the inside shaft and top section.
fun times!!

hey guys,
i just bought my Z last night and i'm already having a window problem. it went all the way down and it won't come back up. I'm guessing i need to buy a new motor or maybe reset? I've looked at the DIYs and stuff but I still have no idea....
Is it a lot of money to pay a shop or someone to do it?

Hold up on your window switch and pull the door closed hard, no need to slam it, just close it like a man.... it will roll up. That should get you through until you get it repaird.

I was looking into the motor and how come autozone has one for like 60-70 bucks when o'reilley sells them for almost doubled the price? is it just because of the lifetime warranty?
