it is a roadster and this top is permanently dropped. I guess you'll have to wait and see guys ;-)

as you can see this is more of a purpose built than a show car.

it totally sucks that i have to drive an hour to get with the gang lol

right now my car is disassembled for more parts but when its back together I PROMISE i'll post updated pics!

EXACTLY!!! Thank you Dark!

This is the info i'm looking for.

what is the summer like? winter? roads? population? stores and shopping? trashy community? crime and violence from the tourism? bad drug problems from border?

thanks. guys.

I'm really looking for that local kind of info....

i'm in the military and i'm used to just getting thrown into locations but this time i have a choice. and i want to do it right. all i know honestly is that i want to live somewhere where it is warm and sunny year round like el paso and most of texas. i want to live somewhere where it doesnt rain too much and where weather doesnt creep out of nowhere and hit you. and lastly, i want to live very close to the ocean where i can take my dog, buy a boat, and get back into kite surfing!

thanks guys.

You can either live in rancho viejo or in harlingen. The only complaint I have with weather here is that it gets very windy and the humity. but the winter, you wouldn't know it was here. Just watch out about going to mexico right now, it can get dangerous. The roads are actually decent enough. there is only one race track and that is in BFE. If you have any questions on where you want to move to,you can call me. 956-793-2417. I'm also in the military(reserves)navy.

Default Brownsville

Brownsville is nice with a population of about 96000 residents and probably 100plus with the undocumented haha.... It is slow pace but growing and growing. Traffic isn't bad and crime is nothing too worry about. Don't believe everything you hear in the media over border crime spilling over. I've lived here for over 34 yrs and love it. The Island is less than 30 minutes away and cost of living is very affordable. Its very hot and humid and the winters are hardly noticeable. Granted there is a lot more of everything in the McAllen area but then again its only about an hour away. I cross to Mexico all the time (Restaurants, Family ..ect..) but really do not like to go at night (Nudee Bars Rock though)(more bang for the buck). During the day everything is cool. Car scene happens on Sunday nights but I really never attend. Too many adolescent dumbasses out there looking for trouble plus I work early on Mondays.
As far as places to live in Brownsville, I'd recommend the growing North Side of Town off of FM 3248 or FM 802. I'll be building a home in near by Los Fresnos which is only 10 minutes away. It is a very small quite peaceful town with the basics but has a good school system and away from the city.

My brother lives in Rancho Viejo. Very nice area with STRICT law enforcement (too strict for me). It is 8 highway minutes from town but you'll feel safe all the time. They have there own law enforcement. A lot of retirees live there because of the golf course and safety but you have to drive into town for any small thing because they have nothing there other than a couple of small establishments.

Hope this helps and if you have any other questions let me know I'll be happy to help. There are other SMALL towns closer to the Island like Bayview, PortIsable, Laguna Vista but Brownsville has everything like restuarants, hardware stores, shopping malls, Gyms, Stealerships, etc.....
