Default Local Inifnity Tech

One of my friends is having some issues with his car. He has a 2003 g35 coupe. The car died while he was driving down 380 with cruise control on.

We were able to pull a couple codes from the car, these were for the crank shaft position sensor and the cam position sensors. We replaced all the sensors and are getting a new code.

The new code is P1614 which is a NATS malfunction.

After speaking to a service tech we found out that it has to deal with the factory theft system.

The car is in Aubrey and the closest dealer is in Plano. The car still won't run and the tow bill would be huge.

If there any way that we could get a tech to help us out. I am sure that somebody on this forum is a tech or knows someone.

It sounds like we have to get the car to infinity to reprogram the keys but I was just wondering if there is another way around this.

Also, the car has 23k miles and is TT.

Hmmm, keep searching here. I bet there's something on these boards that explain how to reprogram your fobs.

I know you just take the key and hold down the un lock or lock button and take the key put it in and out like 5 times and the chip in the key reads the signal from the fob... when i had my 03 G35 thats how they did it...

It's not the key fob that is the problem. It seems that the immobilizer inside the key is not working, or the key ring that detects the chip inside the key is not working.

lol, there is two extra keys. We spoke to an Inifinity tech and he said that it could be the antenna for the immobilizer or the key ring.

For some reason the car isn't detecting the chip inside the key.

I don't have anything to put the car on. Even if I did I probably wouldn't be able to get it on there, this car is low with a lip kit.

I appreciate your help.

I will talk to him and see what he plans on doing. His car won't start so the trailer would have to have a winch or we would need several people.

Guys I'm off all week so let me know if you need another "pusher".

I'll actually be in Allen tomorrow around lunchtime for a doctor's appointment. If you guys do it tomorrow that'll be perfect. Otherwise, just hit me up whenever.

Jeremy, I'll PM you my phone number cause I'm gonna be outta here in a little bit.

The car is still in the shop and they can't seem to figure it out.

We went up there on Saturday and the car was just sitting in the parking lot. The "tech" that was assigned to work on the car wasn't even there.

Hopefully he will find out something today. Slight chance it is the stock ECU.

uh oh.... The dealer just called my friend and said that they think the motor is blown. Apparently when you try to start the car the belts aren't moving. The car turns over just fine which doesn't make much sense.

Does anybody have any ideas?

The dealer is wanting to strip the block.

The motor is built.
