Default Lowering

Hi all,

I'm thinking to cut the rear springmount to level the front and back with my stock suspension. I know this is easy to do, but I don't have the tools such as C-clamp and hack saw to cut the springmount. Does anybody know where I can get it done for cheap? If can't find any place to do it, I will purchase the tools and do it myself.

Thanks.

People do it to get that .5 inch drop because springs can only drop so much.

go to advanced auto parts, if they are cool they have a c-clamp and hack saw their in the back that they will let you use. I took my shocks their yesterday and I was their all day working on them. Let me borrow anything I needed.

One way to avoid cutting your spring mounts is to have the proper rear tire size. I don't know your tires, but too many people have too low of a profile on the rear. That's what creates more wheel gap in the rear versus the front.

Rear spring mount mod is a great way to lower your car 1/2 an inch on the rear without affecting ride quality and changing springs or your spring rate. It's not ricer at all.

I'm planing to get Tein S-Tech springs because I don't want to deal with camber kit. The drops will be .7F and .6R, so I want to cut the springmount to level it out.

Thanks for replies.

I just had my Tein S-Techs installed, and the rear is a little bit higher than the front. I will cut the spring mount about 1/4 inch. Here is DIY.
