Default Offroading at Katemcy Rocks (Mason, TX)

A buddy of mine and I are going offroading in his Land Cruiser this weekend. He recently got a 3.5" lift kit for his ride. I was just curious if anyone from Texas has been to this place?

It seems to be a lot of fun and I just wanted to know what to expect as I have never done this type of activity before. I've heard its one of the best in Texas for offroading/rock crawling but unfortunately they're closing this summer.

Man I haven't ever done serious offroading like that, but that place looks like it's no joke. I've got my 97 Tahoe 2dr 4x4, but it's not setup for aggressive offroad yet.

Have fun.

There's different levels (easy, medium, hard, extreme, etc). I think we're just doing the easy to medium just to start off with and see how it goes from there. He doesn't have too much horsepower in his 4x4 but it should make a fun weekend.

Anyone else from do this kind of activity?

Dude I think we're both set up well enough to hit the trails around my apartment. We should do that this weekend.

Thanks. I can only imagine how hard it is to drive a manual on these trails. It takes skill for sure. My friend has auto in his and I agree it can be quite expensive.

Jeeps and Toyotas are awesome, capable offroaders. I want one now after this trip.
