5th Annual Texas Nissan/Datsun Show
It was a blast ... I got to meet Danny Mayzn & his tricked-out DB Track and Ray w/ his Lemans Sunset Touring. I saw Tere's ATI Procharged Brickyard Performance; I really would have liked to meet that young lady who installed the blower by herself! Lots of great Z cars of all vintage and lots of great people, too. I definitely look forward to next year's show!
Here's a pic of me by my CS Enthusiast and the other folks' 350Z's in the backgrond.

You must have dropped in during one of my wandering around moments -- just had to go stick my nose into a few other engine bays... Were you there when I fired the Wild Black Cherry up by popular request? I think almost everyone at the show swarmed around my Z for a few jet engine revs. Chris (C1-Bender on 350Z Motoring) got a quick 100mph, rapid acceleration Procharger ride after the show.
The blue Fairlady 300ZX turbo (Z-31) is John's. It's a real right-hand drive Fairlady. When we caravaned up from SA, John didn't know I had installed the ProCharger, and when he did a caravan flyby, I dropped a gear and jumped on his tail. At a clear spot I gave him a WOT flyby at 6,000 rpm in 5th. He had this WTF is that expression on his face as I passed by. He pegged his speedo and broke it during my run with him.
Danny's DB 350 has got the ICE! Wow, has he ever got the system, and an absolutely gorgeous install -- a work of art for sure!
The Z Sport club in SA did pretty well with Best in Show, 5 Firsts, 5 Seconds, and 1 Third. There are quite a few show photos posted on http://zchickz.com -- Click on the Photos button at the top.

To answer your question on the number of second gen Zs, nope, there were only a few. The vast majority of the cars in the show were first gen. Second and third gen were few by comparison. Best in Show went to an immaculate 100% original fourth gen Z. I think Edoan confused things a bit between the first gen 240/260/280 Zs at the meet and then the reference to the thrid gen Fairlady (it was the only blue one with Fairlady Z on the doors). LOL... I guess I show my age when I can actually tell the difference since I've seen all the gens roll out new.
