Well you could remove the rear apron yourself to see if the actual bumper bar or anything else in there is damaged. If not, then just get a new rear apron and taillight and you're good to go.

 

and make the ******* that hit you pay 3 times what it should cost. Go get an estimate from the nissan dealership for all parts and labor and he shouldn't pay anything less than that for his stupidity. then take the check and kick him in the nuts, again for stupidity.

i've hunted someone down that rear ended me... a white 80s mustang... got his license plate number and called the 5.0. waited around for 2 hours for them to arrive to a HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT... and then got nothing from them but a warning for having a warrant i overlooked...

Yeah, thers paint left from the bumper, its a color match bumper from the body...the emblem in the center grill (black) was round/oval...thats the last thing i saw in the RVmirror before i got plowed...you would think that CSI would be able to do a lab test on the paint and find the mfgr of the truck? if i did a hit and run, thats how they would find me.

To top things off 4 days prior I had just come back from Iraq. What does the po-po do? Nothing...apparently his paint on my bumper and my paint on his bumper isn't enough proof?

Sucks bad. Hope you have better luck getting it fixed that I do.

Yea that sucks big time man. If you ever wonder why insurance is so expensive in Tx, it's because people have no clue what a safe following distance is. As for the guy that hit you... hopefully karma will cause his car to fall apart due to the accident.

 

Dude that doesnt look bad at all...to really get a feel for how bad it is, you would need to remove the bumper and check out if the aluminum beam corner is hit and if any of the steel stamped sheet metal rear trunk corner is damaged, etc....

1. are you going to claim this on your insurance and have a shop fix it, or are you looking for a shop and you gonna pay out of pocket??


if you want, bring it over to my place and we can check it all out, if you plan on repairing it yourself???

I know junk yards with ppw rear bumpers, tail lights, rear bumper beam, everything really and you can simply take the car to body shop to ONLY get the rear quarter panel "kink" you mention taken out........

thats if nothing else is damaged....

can you take off the bumper and take more pics??
