Default Are you or anyone you know looking for a job?

I am in Texas for some time with a possibility that I may move here for good... But still unsure so might happen or might not cause I do like Atlanta GA.

We are opening a new facility that is smaller than the one we have in GA (http://www.secoinc.org/), it is what some would call a cross dock business (so think FedEx/UPS but we don't deal with the general public) where are current main customer is TARGET.

So we receive stuff that you see at TARGET stores from the vendors (makers) then we break down the inbound shipments to the TARGET DC's (distribution centers that deliver to the stores).

It isn't the easiest job, and if you work out on our dock you will be out on a open dock (so you will be out in the cold/hot depending on outside temps) though it is a covered dock just the name for it to call it "open".

And if you are in the office you would do various things needed in the office (inbound freight billing, out bound freight data entry, etc).

So starting out we are looking to hire three people for the office clerk positions, and 18 dock positions. But over time depending on how busy we are we might hire more.

I believe the dock personal will make $10 an hour while office clerks might be looking at the same (or could be a little more but I do not currently know if something was decided on), if you work more than 40 hours you will earn overtime (time and a half), after a period of time (unsure yet) you will get a increase (maybe another dollar or two different points of time getting up to $11 an hour), health care coverage for you with options to add family, paid vacation (after a period of time which at the time I don't know when you would get this), and also after a period of time (which currently I am not aware of) you will be able to get onto the company 401K...

I am unsure of quite a bit right now because it is a smaller facility we don't know if we will be able to offer the exact same stuff as our GA facility but know we will offer something similar.

If you come in my boss can explain in greater detail as well specify the things I am unsure of since it will be his call.

So if you or someone is interested please either let me know here, or stop by the facility in Garland to pick up or fill out a application...

SECO
3345 Miller Park North
Garland, TX 75042

We are there Monday-Friday from 8AM to 5PM usually, you can call me as well on my cell at 404-408-4348 and if I do not answer please leave a voice message so I can return your call.

Also if you come in, fill out an application and are picked as someone we might want to hire we will ask you then to take a drug test/back round check and if all checks out were golden.

Do you mean you're opening up another one in Texas or the Garland one IS the one that's 'starting up' here?

Yep the address above, we already have bought the facility and are not starting to renovate as well hire.

Seems we have three people already for the office so right now office staff is filled, but we still have many spots open for the dock.

I have confirmed we will start folks on the dock at $10, then at six month you would get a .50 cent raise, and then at a full year another .50 cent raise so by the end of your first year you would be at $11 an hour out on the dock then yearly reviews after that.

If you go through with this let me know, I dont know if you would be interested, but I work for a company that staffs/ recruits for companies around the dfw area. We could probably work something out that would make it reasonable and fair for you as well as getting rid of a lot of the headache in finding qualified employees. Pm me if you would possibly be interested or even if you would like to meet up to discuss everything we could do for you.
