Man accused of drunken driving in fatal crash on Southwest Freeway
A 29 year-old man has been accused of drunken driving after a rollover traffic crash left his passenger dead on U.S. 59 in southwest Houston late Sunday night.
Ian Carlo May has been charged with intoxication manslaughter in the single-car wreck, which occurred about 11:50 p.m. on the southbound Southwest Freeway near Edloe, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said a 32-year-old man, whose name has not been released, died at the scene. May was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where it was determined he was intoxicated, police added. He was taken into custody.
Police said witnesses told investigators May was driving a gray Nissan 350Z southbound in the 3200 block of the Southwest Freeway when he lost control of the car. The car swerved across the freeway, slammed into a concrete retaining wall and flipped over the wall into the HOV lane.

Thanks! LOL As soon as I get home.
No problems for the short time I drove the car. Probably one of the most convenient mods I've done.
this was the reason why I was so worried when my g/f worked the night shift coming home at night..what is this like the third or fourth drunk driver accident killing someone last week....I know there were 2 deadly accidents, one night after the other in the Woodlands on 45

I'm not so nervous of the drivers (knock on wood) as its a short drive home. I'm more nervous of the walk from her job to the parking lot at night. I try, try, try to convince her to get a CHL but she doesn't want it.
I did a little snooping and it seems the 29 year old driver lives at home with his Mom and Dad and 2 Sisters (both younger). What a freakin' shame. This will leave an emotional scar that will never heal.
