Even if there is not Z meet... there's still Urban Speed

 

I would be willing to take it over Rob...but man houston weather at 1030 can be killer...


I was going propose that maybe we can organize a night meet for those who were wanting to chill out and grab a beer for those who can. So maybe a meet on Fridays after work...Some of us here in the lounge started having a meet at Brickhouse Tavern (located 12910 Nw Freeway) which has good parking, great enviroment, and really friendly staff!!! Thats just an idea...I wouldnt mind the morning meets but just to Hot...


Any ideas from others is highly encourged...Thanks

We can keep it at the same location but at night instead.
However; I'm not sure how strict they are on parking

 

Doesnt have to be just Z's...just a spot for those who wanna SIT down after a days work and relax...as far as parking...they arent really strict as long as it you block anyone in...When we have gone there we try to park together so when no free spots we kind of make our own Cornell correct me if im wrong but i believe there is a fairly sized parking lot on the backside of Brickhouse?

stogey i feel you on the central location... uptown park is a nice spot and is somewhat reasonable from all areas surrounding houston. ive been putting a lot of miles on lately, thats why ive been trying to find what meets and where depending what side of town i happen to be on. just moved to friendswood, my girl stayed in jersey village, i work in channel view, and my daughter lives in texas city... FML!

Yeah, I was hoping we can keep the same location in Uptown Park but at night instead. I don't mind the long drive to Brickhouse Tavern (chit it's a long drive for me to Uptown Park) but for me and the SE'siders to drive there every time isn't fair.

I know this meet happens once a month but let's go dutch and have 1 meet on the NE side and the next on the SE side, etc...
It'll be a PITA to keep up but if we have a specific meet up location and a set day (Friday/Saturday) shouldn't be too bad.

I already have a location picked for the SE side and it's at night but on a Saturday instead of a Friday... just throwing this out there

Well, it's a far drive for the members up North going to Uptown Park as well (I think).
So to keep it simple let's not change location but time instead but I'm open to new ideas. However; no one has chimed in cept' 3-4 peeps. I know we have more members in Houston, where ya'll at?

You've been to that meet before Junkie... it's the Kemah meet in the Home Depot shopping center on FM2094. It's mainly domestic & hot rods but a lot of the Motoring members go there and chill on Saturday nights... basically what Prime X posted earlier.

 

I choose Uptown Park due to it's central location & easy access to 610. Guys stop complaining about driving!!! It's a Z car! You're suppose to enjoy driving it! It's a 25-30 mile drive for me to Uptown Park and I only bitched about the idiot drivers that would slow me down. Otherwise I LOVE driving my Z. I enjoy it much more than the Vettes I work on.

Lastly, you're not going to make everyone happy. Set a date, time, location, provide a map of the area, and what is going on. Those that want to come will. Those that don't, won't. I just ask that you keep getting together, try to get involved with the Z Club of Houston, and have a safe & fun time together.

Urban Speed should be tomorrow. We meet up at Uptown Park and cruise over. I won't be making it.
