Default Brake work in DFW

I just received my Rotors, Pads, and Stainless lines from on eof the Vendors here and I need recomendations on who to turn to for the install. I've found in the past that most franchised shops like your goodyear or firestone don't want to touch the car unless you use the components they sell so I'm not even going to bother with those. Anyone have any luck or advice with installers in the area?

I took a chance and ordered the "Adam's Rotors" (slotted and dimpled), Hawk HPS pads, stainless lines, and fluid.

When is good for you? maybe we can kill two birds with one stone, I'm trying to coordinate with Jake on my brake install, my girl's work schedule is really throwing a stick into things right now. Looks like we are shooting for in the morning (Sat.)

I ordered the AR Stage II Brake Package from CVR Motorsports: Check this thread here...
https://my350z.com/forum/brakes/4912...-and-more.html

It's basically some gussied up Centric blanks, with Hawk HPS pads, Goodridge SS lines, and 1Ltr of Motul fluid.... not a bad price either.

I'll try to grab some pics since there seems to be interest, when I get home... I would reccomend PM'ing CVR for a quote because the configurator on their site (linked in the that thread) has the package for a bit higher than what they quoted me and honored.

Hope this helps...

ColecatZ,

Damn....those look Baller !

I went with nismo brake pads instead of the Hawk pads....I thought the nismo pads grabbed much better.

Man I might have to order some of these. For that price, you can't really go wrong.

PST in Cresson, TX. They'll do it right no questions asked. They do specialize in race prepared cars so be prepared to pay for it but that depends on how much you want to pay for piece of mind.

Alternatively, I'd have no doubt Jake or Jay-Z can do this inside an hour. Or if you want to come down to Cleburne I've the tools to help you out.

On a side note, its that time of year again to rebuild my calipers.

HUGE props to AcidJake for hooking me up on my brake work... anyone who is looking to get some work done, definitly take a second to hollar at him before you go get screwed by some shop... the work was solid (torqued to spec), the price was right, and you couldn't have for a nicer dude to work with. The overall experience was great and I'm already planning to use Jake's skillz for my suspension work, rear JIC's are rediculously shot.

To recap, Jake swapped my rotors, installed pads, installed SS lines, bled the system twice, and rolled the rear fenders. I forgot to take pics of the rotors before the install, but the kit was solid and they brake like crazy, well worth the $550. (info is in the link above)

Thanks Jake for the great experience, I'll let ya know when find a suspension.....and get those ART pipes.

That sucks... I didn't have a spotless experience with them, but it wasn't enough to throw up a flag or have me not recommend them. I won't now, that's for sure.

in my case, I ordered the Stage II kit and around week 2-3 I inquired about the rotors and was told the build time was 3-4 weeks and that I'd get a tracking number sent when they shipped. I never recieved a tracking # but the rotors showed up about the 3rd-4th week (as stated in their sale thread) but the pads, lines, and fluid did not. When I contacted them they stated that those items shipped seperatly from their warehouse and Id' receive a tracking number... I never got that tracking number either but the items arrived about a week later. It was obvious to me this was probably small/one man gig and the items simply hadn't shipped until I contacted them. My only ding with them was a lack of attention and the ability to manage the administative side of running an internet business. I was receiving what I paid for and was happy with the price.

Good luck getting this resolved. I won't be reccomending them after this... might be advantageous to cut them out of the middle and go to the supplier for items like the rotors...
