Going to look at a LS1 tomorrow...the burb's rear main seal is leaking and the tranny is slipping....looks like my daily will be a loud SOB too. lol

VQ is already built as bad as you can make it.
Ls1 is going in my suburban (daily).
Val would probably be your best bet for this race. He may lag behind in the 1/4 a little, but will make up for it in every other aspect.

I'd like to see if Ataru74 would like to do it. I sent a message to Sean Farrah, but his car will not be ready in time for this event. Not sure how the Forum guys would have handled the fact that it is a trailered club racing car, but oh well. I really, really wish they would do a track event like MSR Houston over the autocross....though I love me some autocross.

Ford worked 2-1/2 yr. on the NEW 5.0 engine
It's an over head cams, alloy/alum RACE engine (read info on it). Even the Shelby GT 500 heads were not good enough for this new Mustang. This engine vs a 15 year old nissan 3.5 liter is a joke! It's a guppy vs a piranha!!!! Add a tune, gears, & God knows what else, and you get a Mustang that might/can beat a GT-R... That Mustang will have 400hp to 450hp to the wheels....
