https://my350z.com/forum/2009-370z/5...eason-2-a.html
they posted it in the 370z section which gets very little traffic. it looks like this will take place in Houston and will consist of a 1/4 mile run, 0-100-0, and an auto cross competition.
the stang that was selected is a 2011 5.0 that is stock, with a tune. the car posted an impressive 11.8 in the 1/4 mile (negative DA though), so is likely a low 12s car otherwise.
any locals here able to step up, have some fun and represent the forum? check out that thread for more info.

I am the owner of the 2011 mustang and have joined the site just to prove that this is a friendly event and I enjoy car enthusiast of all sorts. A little about the car and myself; the 11.88 pass was on a slick in negative DA at HRP however the rules require a street tire so I will be on stock all-season pirelli tires which aren't that great of a tire. I'll be happy if I can manage a 12.75 on them as they love to spin on the 1-2 shift and often the 2-3 shift. This is my first vehicle with a standard so I have been driving a standard for roughly 3 months now but am loving it! I'm not sure I could ever own an auto again haha.
If any questions...ask away. I'll answer up to anything and look forward to possibly meeting some of you guys.

BTW....Welcome to the site.
I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome....although I know what the results will be.
I'm curious to know what you think of the Boss Mustang ? Do you think it will be a Track superstar ?
Also....if you can, please post up some pics of your car & the engine bay as well.
Thanks

+1 on Oldschool. He's got a beast sitting in the garage. I'll text him anyway and let him know. George(TrueblueZ) would have been another good candidate, but he sold his Z. My Z has all bolt-ons and a tune, but I have no real driving experience. It would be excellent for the track application though...

Old School has taken his Z off the market as of yesterday.
You will definitely need a boosted Z to keep up with the new stangs. Moderate boost level to keep the match competitive.
11s on a stock car is ridiculous. Glad Ford has stepped up and brought back all the things that people originally loved about the mustang.
