Does anyone know of a place locally in Dallas that will cross drill rotors?

Not for me--my dad picked up a set of M5 brakes dirt cheap and wants to put them on his 5 Series Wagon, but wants them drilled first. Of course, he has no idea where to go, so I told him I'd help him look.

any machine shop can drill the rotors, or you might try Bobby Archer's race prep shop in Fort Worth.... but be sure you have an extra set of non-drilled rotors availalble for when the drilled one crack

i agree.. if the rotors were not designed to be drilled then they probably will crack.. stress fracture, fatigue, etc..

 

I already told him that, but my dad's more stubborn than I am. lol

Speed, at a ZCoT past meeting this summer, there was a guest speaker who did exactly what you are looking for - had CNC milling of brake rotors. I have looked and have run out of his business cards from that meeting, but Z327 (Warren K) had his front rotors done by this guy after that meeting. You might PM Z327 and get the skinny from one who has done it! This fellow was Vietnamese and was located in Dallas. He normally buys Brembo blanks and machines them to suit the individual customer. IIRC, his prices were very very reasonable.
