hi, I'm thinking about getting installed cams (tomei 264 or 272), headers and retune... (currently I'm tuned by uprev).
I'm asking for quotes in the Houston / San Antonio / Austin area.
The car isn't my daily driver so time isn't an issue.

PowerFab. Why not the JWT? C2; 261 w/ 11.58 of lift! http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/wol...INCL_REVUP.pdf
What headers you looking to run? I liked Stillen back in the day.

yes, I think stillen with jet hot coating is going to be my choice...
there are a couple of guys that already went that route and is a solid 25 whp on top of my existing mods... with a full weight reduction at less than 3000lbs should be interesting. :-)
all that lift I don't like to take chances revving 7500 constantly.

You could do the C9R... 13.11 lift!
Lift isnt everything. Also anything beyond 11 requires new pistons. Are you doing valve springs also? If you remember that camshaft shootout the JWT's showed the best results on the revup. Have you considered them?
If you do new cams, consider that new valves and springs will be in your best interest as well. If you get up to an 11mm lift, the new springs will be there to insure that you don't slap and bend your valves.

agree... but that was implied considering the expense of the job (labor + parts)

I did Greddy Easy Cams: 264/267 11.0/11.0 lift with stock size high performance valves, Dual valve springs and Titanium retainers from GTM. Car gets tuned this Monday I'll keep everyone posted.
I got Injen Dual Intakes, Stillen Headers(wish there was long tubes for HRs), Berk TPs, Stillen Y-Pipe, AAM 3" single Ti, 4.083 FD, ACT 6 puck sprung, JWT Flywheel, solid Diff bishings and transmission mount, Heavy Duty CSC, all GT Spec Braces, and a TWM Short throw shifter.
Could you elaborate on why people need to change pistons over 11mm and also do you feel i needed to change my pistons also since the lift on my cams are 11mm on both intake and Exhaust.
