I got 2 chips in my windshield after the floods last month. I think it was from all the debris that was still on the roads. Anyways, can you post after you get your new windshield? I heard the stock Nissan is crap.

Yeah, I'll do that and it seems that it is crap.
See my post and the responses over on 350zforum.com which I haven't updated yet...

I saw the crack and never saw a chip, but the crack is getting longer and thicker and now I can see where it started, there is a chip shaped spot towards one side of the crack, but that thing had to be practically invisible before the crack apeared. Hell, I didn't even notice it until the crack itself was a few days...more mature...

So I had some tiny tiny little chip and it turned into an almost windshield wide crack out of the blue...I'd say it's crap as well...

Merry freakin Christmas...

i have tons of little chips, which are not visible until the sun is shining directly through them... it's pretty annoying. and i have 2 pretty nice sized star shaped cracks...

living in houston and driving how i drive, i expect to go through a windshield about every year.

Well, he's sending someone out tomorrow morning between 9 and 12, said it should take less than 2 hours to install and its gonna cost $252.59

If the work is good then this guy's the friggin man.

Thanks for the tip, Mole

let me know how it turns out... one of the little star shaped thingy's decided to expand itself ... now it's a big *** crack.

so it looks like ill be getting a windshield myself!

what do you do about registration/inspection stickers? it's not like they peel off real easy to put them on the new windshield.

I didn't get to hang out and watch the guy, but he was able to remove the stickers without damaging them...actually, there is a slight bit of damage to the reg sticker, but not enough to notice from the outside at all.
Dunno how he did it, but my guess is some sort of heat gun.

Took less than 45 minutes, they came out the morning after I called.

Unless it falls out or leaks I am very satisfied and would recommend them to whomever.

Thanks again!

Did they use some type of OEM Nissan windshield or something a lil better?

They use their own stuff for all cars it seems.
My one complaint about it is that there is a small label or etching thing in the lower right corner that throws a small weird shadow on the dash when the light hits it just right...
It's really not a big deal and I'm sure I'll get used to it with a few more hours of driving with it...

Overall, I'm still very very happy with it though, the price, speed and convenience of having them come to me was fantastic!

I found a place on the South Side of Houston (it's located North of Ellington Airforce Base).

They replaced three windshields in two days for me (none of them 350's). One Astro Van, One Toyota Truck, one 300ZX.

They were just plain CHEAP compared to everybody else.
They treated me like family (couldn't have been any nicer).
They were fast.
They get my highest recommendation.

Ask for Nanette. Tell her you heard about them through the Z Club of Houston.
