Texas Legislature License Plate Oops
I saw this on the news last night and thought i would share it with all my fellow Z owners in Tx. apparently while re-writing the law about front license plates they omitted a part stating the fine for driving without one. direct quote "If there is no penalty, law officers could not properly enforce a statute designed to quickly identify vehicles engaged in possibly criminal activity"

Awesome. I don't ever have a front plate, but it's good knowing there won't be fines until they fix their mistake... Which will probably take at least a year.

The government can and most likely will call a special meeting over this. Yes it's hilarious they neglected to add a fine, it's even more embarrassing when you think about how many people have read that document without noticing their oversight.
Im gunna go ahead and bump this thread. I wanted to know if anyone has been pulled over for this since the law has gone into effect, and if so, what were the consequences?
Ive searched google, and havent found much info than whats already posted here.

Even if you get a ticket for it you can walk into the courthouse with a picture of your plate ON and they will dismiss the ticket for a $10 processing fee. Obviously I can't speak for the entire state, but I would think this would apply all over. The fee may be different by courthouse, but that's what it was for me last year.
I only had the plate mounted temporarily for the picture. If you do it right you won't affect your bumper at all.

I didnt bring it up. The officer was being pretty rude, so I didnt want to give him any reason to upgrade my warning to a citation. He'd been following me for a while, so I figured he was just looking for something to bust me on, and the best he could do was my front plate. Next time i see a cop on campus or something though, Ill ask
