Default DFW Area - Diff Replacement

Hey everyone.

It seems that unfortunate my diff is blown. The gears are whining badly under throttle and it seems I may need it replaced.

Question is, do you all know anyone that may be able to replace the diff? It seem that the dealership wants to replace the entire cradle.

Have you checked the oil level?

If necessary, you can find a used pumpkin from the same version car (i.e. 6MT or 5AT) so you get the same ratio, and just swap the pumpkin. It can be done in an hour or so by any competent mechanic, even in a driveway on jackstands.

Do you have a A/T or manual? I will have an extra diff here soon.
