I went to http://www.texasmotorplex.com and there looks to be 3 events that repeat:

Fast Friday
Fast Saturday
Ultimate Street Night (Friday Nights)

Which should I go to? All I want is to do between 5-10 runs (is this too optimistic?) and have timeslips provided.
I heard that there are "Grudge matches" on some nights, and no timeslips are provided...

Also, I am not closed to going to another track... just seems like everything around DFW is mostly 1/8 mi.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Making it into a Z-group thing would be even better!!

fast friday u lineup, make a run.. get your time slip with your time and the other guys time and the time is shown on the board for everyone else to see..this usually takes place around 7 (sometimes a little earlier)and goes till midnight.. sometimes 1 depending on the number of cars.. gates open at 6pm

ultimate street night... u line up against a car that u want to run... its a grudge match.. no time is shown on the board for the audience but a winner light is shown. You get a timeslip but only your time is shown and not your opponent.


I dont know much about the saturday deal.. I beleive Ennis starts up with a regular Friday schedule on the 19th? of March.. the event calendar is on the site.. hope this helps! If u have any other ?s, shoot me a PM or call the Motorplex!

 

It looks Like 3/19 Is the First chance to get to the 1/4 track. Normally Fast Friday is $15 for as many runs as you can get in. the gates open at 6pm and they stop running at midnight. Last time I was there, I got in 3 runs from 9 till 12, it was a heads up tree, No times were posted on the boards but time slips where given after each run.


If you want to go that Fri Let me know I'll go with you, and I'm sure plenty of other Z will show up to see the 350Z Blue beast Run the 1/4

 

oh ya couple more things.. street night is instant green... and fast friday is 3 yellow...green.. instant green kinda sucks sometimes cause it doesnt give many people the "time" to line up.. Also.. if u have any kind of student ID for fast friday, u get 3 bucks off the 15..not sure if ID is honored on street night

The first Ultimate Street Night, held in 2001, was an overwhelming success. More than 300 racers turned out for the event. Now in 2004, Texas Motorplex, Lincoln Technical Institute, and Sunoco are bringing this popular event to the schedule on a regular basis. Ultimate Street Nights will run on the last Friday of the month. Check the schedule for dates.

Held in a format similar to street race style, track officials let racers choose their own opponents, and the racing is heads up, utilizing an instant green start system. The scoreboards will be turned on in 2004, so elapsed times and speeds are displayed to the public. Racers will still receive individual time slips.


i still like fast friday.... lets make it out there the 19th, or 27th!!!

I am going to San Antonio raceway next friday the 12th if anyone want's to go.... The black wide body Z will be going also so that two twin turbo Z's we could always use more

 

Ok I'll try to go too. I should have my plenum by then, and I'll try to take it to Jotech to change the plugs and do another dyno. Then I should have only about 200 rwhp less than you.

My next race is the last weekend of March in San Antonio so I will def. be able to make this event on the 19th. I haven't run with mods except for my old exhaust so I def. need to get out there and check my differences.

i am going 3/19... planning on running street tires (i have no access to anything else, and have not practiced with anything else, either...)

I always take 30 Down to get to Ennis. Last time we meet up at the Dink's at NorthWest HW and I35. Say around 4:30 or 5pm? the earlier we get out of Dallas the better. I would prefer to sit and wait for the track to open, then sit in trafic.

 

I should be able to make it to NW/35 by 5p. If not, don't wait for me, I'll meet you at the track.
