Default Tire repair to hold me a week, Austin folks, help!

So I ordered some Axis Supermesh wheels with tires last weekend, and they were supposed to be here by Friday. They won't, imagine that *grumbles about online resellers*. My back left tire has been losing air for some time, and it recently got worse. I swear I had a different problem before, because we never found anything in it. Well, there is a nail in it now. I'm going on a drive this weekend, and don't want to have to keep stopping to air it up at the best, and at the worst, I don't want to have a blowout coming through a turn. I am not talking about crazy speeds, but it will be some hill country twisties. I know that ultimately, not driving on it hard at all, is the best advice. Discount Tire, at least the one at Braker and Burnet, will not repair it because it's below the legal tread depth (the wear indicators just began to show). Anyone know a place that would repair it, and/or any other options to get me through the weekend until my new wheels and tires get here?

I have some stock spare 18s laying around, but live about 40 mins north of Austin (Temple). We can setup up a time to meet and I can let you borrow one.

If the nail isn't by the sidewall, you can do a repair on it. Either Bill Kim at www.soulspeed.com can help you out, or you can go to a Discount Tire and get it done.

MAKE SURE that when they do a repair that they plug & patch it. Reason being, if a nail went through only part of the tire, it can cause tread separation. It needs to be poked ALL THE WAY THROUGH, then plugged, then patched from inside the tire.

I appreciate it nisslow02, but I'll figure something out. What I should do is find someone with a stock rear tire that is almost bald also, to slap on this rim so my stock set is complete as a backup set, to sell, for track days, etc.

The problem with repairing it, is what I said in the original post, was that the tread wire indicators just began to show on the rears. Discount Tire won't repair the tire at that point. Maybe I will swing by soulspeed during the day today and see if they can help me out.

Hey Rob, I have a full set of stock tires sitting in my garage with only like 3000 miles on it. If you need one just let me know.

I'm just in Round Rock off of 79.
