Austin, San Antonio folks, River City Raceway tonight
Just a last minute thing, but a guy from my work with a blue 350 is going to the strip, and I'm heading down there also with my fiance. I thought I'd see if any of you all want to come for some nice weather time at the strip. It is going to be 0% chance of rain in Seguin tonight, and from 58 down to 49 at 10pm or so. Should make for some good ETs.
Anyone else want to come along? $15 to race, $10 to watch, can't beat that. My fiance would not mind some company, so tell your wives, girlfriends, mistresses to come along
Post here if you plan on coming. Still trying to find out what time test and tune starts, it's been so long since I've been and their website is gone.

Well, they do test and tune every Friday night, gates open at 6.
As far as the next time some of us will be heading out there, I dunno. I might do it one more time when the weather is better. It was a little cold for good 60 foot times, but great temp for HP and ETs. I was trapping 101 mph, bone stock minus my wheels and tires. I was afraid my 19's weight and higher rotational mass would hurt my trap speed, but I was still pulling 101. I didn't realize that I had my tire pressure way too high until a strong headwind came in though. Everybody was losing speed in the last eighth mile, so I only managed a 13.87 at 99mph with a 2.01 60 foot.
One of these days I'll manage a low humidity, 50-60 degree day, with no wind and 13.7x should be well within my grasp. I've gotten a 1.87 60 foot before on street tires, so I know it can be done. 13.6x might even be within the realm of reason if everyhing fell into place.
Anyhow, I'll post again, more in advance next time, if we get something going.
