Default UTEC Tuner 2005?!?!?! Has anyone tested this on the Z?

I just found this UTEC software while performing a search on the UTEC Tuner Pro. This look like a windows base program the allows for tuning in REAL TIME! The GUI is what caught my attention at first. Way nicer than the current UTEC GUI. If this works like that say it does it mike be a very promising program indeed.

Good find, but I think it say NOT real time.

Real-time tuning and diagnostics can be done through any form of computing device with a serial port and vt-100 terminal. Unfortunately if you want to do anything not real-time, you're out of luck... UNTIL NOW!

UTEC Tuner 2005 is the premier after market software solution for UTEC tuners who require a robust easy to use interface for planning and engineering UTEC fuel and timing maps. Below are just a few features that are provided:

Easy to use multiple document interface; open several maps at once
auto-mapper builds a fuel and timing map from any UTEC log.
Log playback
Complete cell editing capabilities including multi-cell copy and paste.
Cell variation color coding helps track which cells are lean or fat!
Cell smoothing makes tuning cell transitions a breeze!

Was this sofware written by Turbo XS? If not will it void any warranty if used in place of the standard UTEC interface? Thanks.

? How would it? I'm not understanding your question. The current Hypertrminal interface that is normally used was provided by TURBOXS. Neither is the OS or other hardware (Laptop) that your using to interface with the UTEC. I don't recall reading anything in the warranty stating that you couldn't use a different interface. In fact.. I'm pretty sure that unless you have the UTEC installed a tuned by a certified UTEC retailer/installer, you have no warranty if there was one in the first place.

Please don't take this the wrong way but if your really conserned about warranties on your car and part. You might just want to keep it stock until your warranty expires.

Thanks. It would be nice if they made it work for the Z. Its $40 to download to find out!

For now I'll stick with MPS_Uteclogger. I like that I can use my AEM wideband gauge and the software provides the bridge. Its easy enough to edit the maps on the UTEC or to use UTECEdit and then download the map files.

I live 5 minutes from Bel Air, MD. I just left a message. I'll try to meet with the owner/developer and discuss his software as it relates to UTEC with the 350z.

I've exchanged email with the owner of Maryland Turbo. He is interested in meeting to beta test his software on my Z. Seems like a pretty nice guy from what I can tell.

I will call him tomorrow and try to carve out some time with him in the near future, hopefully right after this weekend.

FYI, he has a beta version of UTEC Tuner 2006. Here are some screen shots:

Hi Guys, Rob here, owner of MTS and developer of the UTEC Tuner software. BobbyRitz directed me to this thread and has offered to help beta test the UTEC Tuner software for the 350z guys. I'm pretty anxious to check out the differences. If any of you have logs you would like to send my way, I'd appreciate it. Send them to rob@marylandturbo.com if you do send them, let me know if you're logging any auxilary inputs such as external afr source and what brand wideband.

I look forward to releasing the latest 2006 software soon as it's about 75% complete, and following in trandition, software upgrades are free.

Thanks all,

Rob

Will your software bridge the UTEC and an external wideband like the AEM (like mps_uteclogger does) ?

Actually, do you have a website that shows the software features? Its kind of hard to tell how useful the application is from a couple of reduced screenshots.
