hks ti has to the most overrated exhaust on the market. exotic sound? rofl not from all the clips ive heard, makes the z sound like a honda. as for gains we all know exhausts dont do much for the Z, difference in performance is minimal, with the hks with a slight advantage. nismo retains a similar stock tone but much louder. sound friggin nice. oh, hks has the ridiculous dual rice cannister look. looks soooooo overboard. i could see easily why he would want to switch to the nismo but for the price difference he needs to get some cash along with the nismo for a fair trade.

From your precious opinions, it seems like a bad trade (HKS for Nismo+installation+$100). How much more should I ask for?

Edit: I do love how my car sounds though
My older brother wants me to get Nismo because it's from Nissan and my car is still under warranty. He said Nissan wont void warranty with Nismo exhaust.
If I were to do the trade, it has to be local so I can just install the nismo on my car.

Please please please. Lets not start the NISMO and warranty stuff. Reputable aftermarket exhaust makers warranty their exhausts also.

I've heard the hks ti in person and i have to admit i prefer the Nismo sound to it, but everyone has there own prefrences..

You could just go buy a new Nismo exhaust and after you put it on sell your HKS TI on Ebay or something <shrug> It's what I would probably do...

I have Nismo exhaust, and I'm actually looking for HKS Ti exhaust.
If you're interested I can do the swap. How many miles on the exhaust?
I have about 8000 miles on mine.

Exhausts DO NOT void your warranty.

You need to do some reading. Try the search function and educate yourself.

VN,

I was actually gonna buy that exhaust from the guy selling it here on the boards. You got lucky to get such a good deal! And yes, you are crazy to trade the hks for nismo....

I can understand why you would want to trade. The NISMO and HKS exhaust are on different levels as far as sound. If you want to retain more of what the car already sounds like from the factory then the NISMO would be the way to go but HKS sounds just as awesome, just in a different note. Performance wise, yes, the HKS will yield to a little more power being that its a true dual. In all fairness for you, if you want the NISMO exhaust I would ask for more than $100 cash for the trade. I was torn between the NISMO and HKS as well but at the time of my purchase the HLS was backordered so I just went with the NISMO and I am very happy with my choice. There is no way Id trade my NISMO for any exhaust, even if it was for a straight trade with an HKS. Added with headers and Crawford cats, I love the way my NISMO exhaust sounds.

Are you in Orange County ?
My HKS Ti is in excellet condition with 5k miles on it. There are some tiny scratches due to normal wear and tear.

I'm willing to it for $300 plus installation(my friend shops does installation for $50).

Thats not what you said the other day...haha JK

Both exhausts are great...I personally recommend both when people ask me...it just comes down to perference and price point (if buying new)...but honestly, I would still keep the HKS over the Nismo

Of course you would, but then again we are both bias. But only because we have to be.
