If I were to trade my HKS Ti for Nismo Exhaust, what would be a fair trade?

Yes, it's this exhaust: HKS Ti true dual. I have it.
There's a member on this forum who has offered to trade his Nismo for my hks. I want to get some opinions before I make my decision

 

my opinion is this: You would be on crack to trade him straight across. If the HKS is to loud for you and you want to go with the Nismo maybe your exhaust for his AND He give you a few hundred $$$

 

I have no problem with the sound of HKS Ti maybe a little too quite for me. I've heard Nismo exhaust before. I think it is a hair louder than HKS at cruising speed and HKS is lounder between 5k to redline.
He offers to trade w/ installation on him and $100 bucks. I am thinking about it.

 

still why would you want to do this trade? I think they are on different ends of the spectrum.

I have Nismo, and Id love HKS, but if I had HKS I would be buried with it! Are you doing it just for money then? A few hundies on top of the trade/install at least!

I dont want to uninstall it then put back the stock then buy nismo then take off the stock and put nismo back on.
I want to do a straight swap. it costed me $50 bucks to put the hks on

It's your car and your choice. While the HKS is popular it may not be what you want, don't let others pressure you.

From a cost perspective though...I'd see if I could get a little more money out of the deal.

 

Do it!! It sounds like you are well educated on exhaust systems and should do the guy a favor by trading him.

 

man imo i the only way i would trade it is if he gives u alittle bit more money b/c the hks gives better returns then the nismo. yes the nismo sound is nice but u have one of the best exhaust out there but hey do what make u feel good its ur car and u will have to live with it and drive the car

 

Wow.. Go look it up instead of seeking the easy way out by making a thread asking for "opinions." If you looked it up, you would have found out that the HKS system is more costly than the Nismo system, so in that perspective, you're losing money. Also, if you were to look at performance gains, HKS yields more than the Nismo. So, what do you think is the right thing to do? If I were you, I'd get more than just a mere $100.

Actually, do what you want. I guess for you money isn't really an issue.
