Default Timing issue

Can someone tell me how to RETARD my timing? I'm getting my new Zex kit in soon, and It needs to be retarded -2 degress. Can a mechanic do this with his tools? or do I need to buy something aftermarket? Can the greddy E-manage do it? j/w thanks!

I hear that the cipher scan tool can adjust minute amounts of timing. you can find the info at altered atmoshperes website.

CIPHER can indeed retard base timing by 2 degrees (or increase by 2 degrees). Base is 15 on my G35.

not a good idea, you will need an engine management system to retard your timing the CORRECT way for nitrous, are you going to drive around with the Ciphers minus two degrees all the time.... NO, you would lose over 10hp by retarding it.


the reason no one has responded to this thread is that, with some simple reading, everything you asked up here will be answered. there is tons of info on this site and others like it, just dont be lazy and look for it...
