Default Map switch #1, but my dashboard reads 0. Correct?

So after a million years of not getting to drive the Z, it's FINALY "done". As i'm driving around town making sure i hooked everything up right and have no leaks or anything (Greddy TT install), i decide to give it a little gas. Take it up to 3k and it's starts to get a little boggy. I shut it down and noticed that my dashboard is reading map 0. My map switch is selected to position 1 though (it's the map i want to use). I'm connected to my UTEC via my Tuner Pro, but i doubt that has anything to do with it? On the UTEC it self, i'm on switch 0 as i thought i should be when using the map switch. Correct? Any ideas? I tried switching from 1 back to 0 and back to 1 again, but my dashboard remained the same.

I can see from the manual that in the Dashboard, Mode = the name of your map and Switch = what number your map switch is on. If this holds true, i'm guessing my map switch might be at fault? Guess i'll pull it, switch the UTEC to 1 and see what happens? Anyone else run into this?

The switch on the UTEC need to be set to the "0" position for the map selector switch to work. RTFM.

I guess it's my map switch. I pulled it, selected 1, and now my laptop reads map 1. I'll have to look it over later on. Now it's on to tuning.

dude, did you not hear us..The UTEC has to be set to MAP position "0" before you plug in a selector switch.Make sure the rotary dial on the back of the UTEC itself is set to "0" first.

Julian..

He had the UTEC set to '0'

He said he pulled the map selector switch and actually switched the UTEC to "1" and his dashboard read '1'.. Seems like the switch is faulty..

Yes, KenK2 is correct. And yes, my switch is bad. I retried it again today and my dashboard will not change maps.

I'm pretty sure it has four wires that go in the aux plug of the UTEC. I would assume its a 4 bit binary interface.
