Default UTEC - Lean on Dyno, fine on street

I spent the better part of Saturday on a dyno and I noticed that the car was running lean between 3000-4000RPM. I added fuel but it didn't change anything. I added more fuel and it didn't change anything. I added more fuel and it didn't change anything. I then gave up!

My changes up top took immediate effect, but I couldn't change my A/F between 3000 and 4000. This was happening in both the 10 and 20% column but I never had problems in the 30% column (according to my logs).

As soon as the UTEC would take over (2psi) the A/F would drop to ~12:1 then would climb to about 13.5:1, then drop to 11.5:1.

After I left the dyno I did a few runs on the street and the A/F never spiked like it did on the dyno. Anyone have an explanation for this and for why my added fuel didn't richen the car out at all????

Thanks,

Kevin

Same wideband used on dyno and on street? Presume you are just reading from log (tuner data)... weird.

Yeah, my in car AEM.

The wideband on the dyno matched my logs, so I'm pretty sure it was actually leaning out.

I have little confidence with my UTEC after upgrading to the new firmware....

What type of Dyno? Was it a load based? This sometimes could occur due to to little load placed on the car on the dyno, and it sees more load on the street.

But that doesn't explain why adding fuel at 3-4k rpms would not result in a richer AFR... Once the threshold point was reached (2 psi), it should have had full control. Kevin, please let us know if TurboXS provides an answer...

It would if your skipping over that particular load point.. Meaning if the lean spot is actually in the transition from 0% to 10-20%. Try making the adjustments in the 0% load columns also..
