Default Bad WB Sensor on Tuna

My sensor wont free air calibrate, the temp does not stabilize. If I start the calibration while the heater is still on and counting down it works. But otherwise it wont work. Depending on when I start the calibration in the heater count down I get different readings too. I put the sensor back in and ran the car for a few minutes then took it out and tried again and it would not stabilize.

I get good AFR readings at idle and cruise. Using Deashcwerks 650cc injectors, had -17 on the zero column, when I floor it the Tuna display shows full lean. Even if I change the zero column value to -5 it shows full lean, should be pig rich. I'm thinking the sensor is bad?

I did have a bad wideband sensor. As it turns out it would read fine at idle, part throttle accel and crusing, but it I floored it went full lean. I adjusted the UTEC to zero adjustment and still full lean, Im runnig 650cc injectors. I ordered a new sensor and it works just fine now.

However the sensor will still only calibrate when the sensor heater is on and the Tuner clock is countiing down. Can that be right?

i have had bad sensors that read pretty much 14.7 all the time, i have had them read 14.7 then lean under WOT and rich under WOT, i would try a new sensor and see what happens...

i have been through many many of them to date now...

How about calibration, do they normally only calibrate with the heating element on?
